All healthcare students are welcome to hone their clinical skills and help their community i.e. medical, nursing, physician assistant, optometric students, or students interested in health careers. Students will perform pre-exam vision testing, eye pressure checks, history & intake, and use an autorefractor for refractions.
Health Care Student Volunteers
These are all volunteer positions that will serve at the Eye Clinic downtown on Saturdays and Sundays. Clinics run for about 3 hours each.
I have volunteered with KCFEC since my first year of medical school. I keep going back to volunteer because I love seeing the smile on patients’ faces when they try on their glasses and can finally see clearly with them.
